Promptly vs Cluely.
Cluely and Promptly both listen to a call and answer in real time, and neither sends a bot into the meeting [1]. The biggest practical difference is invisibility: on Cluely's pricing page, being hidden from screen share is part of its $149.99/month plan [2]; in Promptly it's on every plan, Free included.

The short version
Choose Promptly if…
- You want screen-share invisibility without paying for a top tier — it's in Promptly's Free, $20 and $40 plans.
- You're on Windows 10. Cluely's Windows download lists Windows 11 x64 [3]; Promptly runs on Windows 10 and 11.
- You also want a voice-synced teleprompter, dictation into any app and résumé tailoring in the same app.
- You'd rather your notes stay on your machine than in a cloud account.
Choose Cluely if…
- You want an iPhone app — Cluely lists iOS [3]; Promptly is desktop-only (Windows and Mac).
- You want Google Calendar sync and pre-call briefs [4].
- Your team needs enterprise features like CRM/ATS integrations, directory sync and role management [5].
- You want post-call notes you can share by link, plus full speaker-labelled transcripts [6].

Where they differ
Invisibility isn't an upsell
Promptly's overlay is excluded from capture with Windows display affinity from the first launch, on the Free plan too. Cluely's pricing page puts “completely hidden to meeting screen sharing software” on its $149.99/month tier [2], and its docs say invisibility is opt-in and depends on the meeting app respecting OS privacy defaults [7].
More than answers
Cluely is a meeting assistant: live insights, “what should I say next,” recaps and notes [6][9]. Promptly covers the call too, then adds a teleprompter that follows your voice, system-wide dictation, and Resume Tailor for the applications before the interview.
Where your data lives
Cluely's privacy policy says customers may upload, or have Cluely collect, audio recordings, transcriptions and screenshots, with retention governed by its Terms [8]. Promptly transcribes in short chunks and keeps none of it; notes and your résumé stay on your computer.
